I am a PhD student in Psychology co-supervised by Dr. Stefan Kohler and Dr. Ken McRae. I am interested in ideas of Embodied and Grounded Cognition especially as they relate to learning and memory. I completed my Bachelor’s of Science (Honours) and my Master’s of Science at the University of Northern British Columbia. During my MSc, I worked under the supervision of Dr. Heath Matheson and studied how information from the body affects understanding of words. In my PhD work, I am investigating the ways in which action shapes memory for object location. I am using mouse tracking in combination with imaging to monitor the dynamic systems that underlie learning and memory.
